Surf-themed boutique hotel, affordable and only a 5-minute walk from Waikiki Beach – Adjacent to the shops of the International Marketplace and just 2 blocks from Waikiki Beach, this 15-story boutique hotel is perfect if you're traveling on a budget, but still looking for a hotel with ambience. The surf theme is kept at just the right level of understatement, but be sure to check out the Charles W. Bartlett paintings of Duke Kahanamoku, surfing's founding father, on display in the lobby.
Accommodations: Rooms have a chic, urban ambience: Walls and ceilings with light tones, balanced against bright fabrics and retro-Hawaiian artwork. All have private lanais, the majority with views of the city, but some with partial views of the Pacific. Configurations vary between multiple queen beds, single king beds, and king beds with sofa sleepers in some suites. Standard in all are air-conditioning, flat-screen TVs, DVD players, phones, complimentary high-speed internet, in-room safes, mini-fridges, microwaves, coffee makers, and irons/ironing boards. Baths have combination showers/tubs, hairdryers, and Aqua's signature brand of bath products. Kids under 17 years of age stay for free when lodging with their parents or guardians.
