Resort Description

Award-winning boutique hotel with poolside spa, 1 block from Waikiki Beach – Winner of AAA's 3-Diamond Award, this stylish boutique property has a retro-Hawaiian look and is just 1 block from the sandy shores of the world-famous Waikiki Beach. Considered by many the best boutique hotel in the city, it boasts renovated rooms with new ultra-comfy AquaBLISS pillow top beds, a poolside spa, and even a 24/7 hotline to Aqua's CEO, Mike Paulin.

Accommodations: Most rooms have private balconies with views of the city or the nearby Diamond Head, Hawaii's most recognizable dormant volcano. Rooms have 1 king bed, a queen bed and a sofa-bed, or 2 double beds. All rooms feature air-conditioning, 42" wall-mounted LCD TVs, phones, complimentary high-speed internet, in-room safes, mini-fridges, microwaves, coffee makers (with complimentary island-grown Kona Coffee), and irons/ironing boards. Baths have combination showers/tubs, hairdryers, and Aqua's signature brand of bath products. Junior Suites measure just-under 500-square-feet and have views of the Koolau Mountains. The 1-Bedroom Suites are well-over 500-square-feet, have full kitchens, and partial ocean views. All suites have balconies. Kids under 17 stay for free when lodging with their parents or guardians.

Dining & Entertainment: Your stay includes a complimentary breakfast each morning, with fresh fruit, pastries, cereal, coffee, tea, and other continental fare, and while the hotel lacks a restaurant, there are dozens of dining options nearby. Kobe's Japanese Steakhouse, South Pacific cuisine at Bali by the Sea, Sergio's Italian Restaurant, and Outback Steak House are all within a few minutes walk of the hotel. Less than a mile away is Duke's Restaurant & Barefoot Bar, named for the founding father of surfing, serving authentic Hawaiian cuisine and tropical drinks (try Hula Pie for dessert). Thenearby Waikiki Beach Walk is home to numerous restaurants and dozens of shops.

Recreation: The spa has a full menu of massages, scrubs, facials, and other therapies, which are available in the poolside treatment rooms; there's also and in-room menu. The fitness center is also set poolside. Spending a day or an afternoon on Waikiki Beach and browsing what's for sale along the Waikiki Beach Walk are musts when you're here. Besides the beach, Honolulu has great hiking opportunities like the Diamond Head crater, luaus and feasts celebrating Polynesian culture, horseback and ATV rides, day cruises, tours of filming locations, and historic attractions like Pearl Harbor.
