Resort Description

Affordable hotel a short walk from Waikiki Beach, some rooms with private lanais – Basic and budget-friendly, this 16-story boutique-style hotel is located along the Ala Wai Canal on the backside of Waikiki. Waikiki Beach, one of the most famous beaches in the world, and the International Marketplace, an open-air shopping promenade that's one of the city's most popular attractions are within a 10-minute walk. On-site, guests can unwind in the spa, located in the lobby.

Accommodations: Decor in the guest rooms and suites draws inspiration form the ocean, with soothing schemes of light green, blue, and sand tones. The Moderate-category rooms are the only ones lacking the small private lanais that all the other categories have. Superior rooms each have a single queen bed. Deluxe rooms have queen beds or a double/twin bed pairing. The Junior and 1-Bedroom Suites have king beds and sleeper sofas; suites also offer views of the nearby Koolau Mountains. All are air-conditioned and come equipped with flat-screen TVs, phones, complimentary high-speed internet, in-room safes, microwaves, mini-fridges, coffee makers (with complimentary Kona Coffee), hairdryers, and irons/ironing boards. Kids under 17 years of age stay for free (in room with parents).

Dining & Entertainment: A complimentary continental breakfast with fresh fruit, pastries, and coffee is served each morning, and while the hotel lacks an on-site restaurant, several great dining options are nearby. If you've got an exceptional appetite, head to Perry Smorgy, an all-you-can-eat buffet that has a great reputation with locals and travelers alike (there's a reason it's been in business since the 1970s). For food and drinks, try Lulu's, a half-mile away. It's set right on the beach, open from 7:00am-4:00am daily, with a full bar and great views of Diamond Head. Live entertainers perform almost nightly, and Lulu's also hosts events like pro volleyball tournaments. Coconut Willy's at the Waikiki Beach Walk has dancing and live music late-afternoon till late at night.

Recreation: The hotel has an outdoor pool, with cabanas and padded furniture for lounging and sunbathing. Spending a day or an afternoon on Waikiki Beach and browsing what's for sale at the International Marketplace are musts when you're here. Besides the beach, Honolulu has great hiking opportunities like the Diamond Head crater, luaus and feasts celebrating Polynesian culture, horseback and ATV rides, day cruises, tours of filming locations, and historic attractions like Pearl Harbor.
