In this very large house which has been divided into three apartments the owners live on the first floor. They are wine producers and offer free wine tasting twice weekly in a nearby fattoria. Inside there are comfortable furnishings whilst outside there is a convenient covered parking area.Midway between Florence and Siena, which are less than an hour’s drive away, the village of Radda in Chianti with good shopping facilities and eating places, is close by. From Radda there is a bus service to Siena. Within a 20 minute drive is the public swimming pool at Cavriglia Nature Park.

Aptly named for its abundance of fresh spring water, La Spugna is a really wonderful retreat. There is a nearby freshwater lake which is suitable for swimming. One and a half kilometres uphill_through forest from the main road, this beautifully converted, character property enjoys excellent views.
