Mexican Weddings
I have a confession to make, I have a long standing love affair with Mexico. I would also like to let you in on a little secret, Mexico has a long standing love affair with people in love. I can give you several resorts where you would be amazed at the quality of accommodation, food, service and opportunity for a great destination wedding for you and your guests.
I have so many reason to suggest Mexico. From most of the United States, it is easy to get to. You have non stop flights from many U. S. to the Pacific Side as well as the Atlantic and Caribbean Suncoast areas of Mexico. Major airlines and charter airline flights operate daily to several Mexican International airports.
Excellent value for your money. The US dollar still comands a little bit of attention some places and fortunately Mexico is on of them. You can have top of the line accommodations in Mexico for less than you think.
I honestly can't say enough about the hospitality of Mexico's people. I have been to many areas of Mexico and visited oh so many resorts, I would be hard pressed to find people who go more out of thier way to make your stay special. I have had special events where the hotel staff decorated our room with baloons and streamers etc. while we were at dinner. We have had birthday celebrations with personalized cakes brought to us without asking. We have been serenaded by Mariachis. We always have a good time in Mexico.
The accommodations are becoming more luxurious year after year. Mexican construction is faster than most tropical destinations and they believe in keeping up on thier properties and the latest amenities. Many resorts will offer jacuzzis in your room, for example.
Several resort chains in Mexico offer a Free or very nearly Free wedding. You may have to pay for few fees and get your paperwork in order, but it is pretty simple.
A Mexican Destination wedding can be an easy sell to family and friends. Because of the great air flight availability it is easy for your guests to arrive the day before your wedding, stay for the wedding and then leave the next day. This shorter stay in an econimical destination is often well received by the people you really want to witness your day or be in the bridal party.
What can you do there? Well, you have an abundance of water sports, horseback riding, ruins to visit, 4x4 adventures, safaris, swimming with the dolphins, swimming with the sea turtle, even riding horses into the sea! You can dance all night, go to fiesta or beach party. You can find a stretch of beach and feel like you are the only person ever to set foot there.
Golf! Shopping! Romance! History! It's all here!

As a result of the magnificent architecture of its many historical monuments, as well as its unusual urban layout, it was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1988.
Its fame and fortune stems from its rich gold and silver deposits, discovered by the Spaniards near what would later become the city. The region was formerly inhabited by nomadic groups of Chichimeca. In 1541, the Spaniards arrived for the first time and in 1546, the viceroy granted don Rodrigo de Vazquez permission to build a cattle ranch on the outskirts of Guanajuato.
